MAUI project template updated?

Today I noticed that there seems to be an extra project template for Visual Studio's MAUI, is it up-to-date (the one at the bottom of the picture)? It seems to have removed Tizen, and that the multi-platform organization goes back to the Xamarin approach.

What do I need to be aware of when using a new template?

I found this, what is the point of the existence of multi-project? To help Xamarin migrate to MAUI?
