How to support Edge to Edge on Android 16?

In my app I change to color of the status bar to be consistent with the color of the page in my app.
With Android 16 this doesn't work anymore and instead I see a status bar with the colorPrimary set in Android and no way for me to change this.
How should we handle the new Edge to Edge feature on Android?

@marcojak I do not understand the problem, maybe if you can add some screenshots of what you have and what you want, maybe some of your code also? Btw, CoPilot have some suggestions for your problem.
