Edge to edge on Android with Shell Navigation bar

Hi, was anyone able to use edge to edge on Android in combination with Shell navigation bar?

On iOS it works fine, navbar is transparent and content is placed under it as expected.

On Android navbar doesn't allow page content to be placed under itself until it's hidden using Shell.NavBarIsVisible=False.

Docs don't mention it regarding Android.

Is it a bug or is it expected to work like this?
