Roslyn not detecting references in asp.net application

Version Used:
Microsoft.CodeAnalysis v3.7.0

Using Roslyn with .Net Core 3.1

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create an asp.net fw 4.6.2 solution
2. Create a .net fw referenced class library project
3. Create a reference to a method from asp.net to the referenced project
4. Run the .net core Roslyn parser on the method and notice that the reference is not in the location attribute
   e.g.

var symbol = semanticModel.GetDeclaredSymbol(node);
var references = SymbolFinder.FindReferencesAsync(symbol, solution).Result;

Expected Behavior:
The method reference should be listed in the location parameter

Actual Behavior:
The method reference is not listed

How are you creating the compilation? Does it return any errors from GetDiagnostics()?

Hi @svick thanks for your reply. I am getting the following errors but I am not sure if it's affecting the parsing of the references because I am getting this error also for the reference in the test project which works.
