First thanks a lot for your linux port , really helped us.

Not an issue from your port, but I was looking for a way to integrate the status icon correctly on Ubuntu 18.04/20.04 , gnome DE , I know that Java supports only very old method but if you have any idea....

The status icon is well integrated using xubuntu.
On standard Ubuntu maybe we need some tweaks, I have to investigate

Looking at the source, the floating icon is used on gnome

I tried to bypass the gnome detection by setting the environ variable XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP to something
export XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=test
Now I have a black icon in system tray icon

it's better but not working as expected

Yes we are using gnome, I never imagine that they blacklist gnome but I totally understand why

Will try your trick , anyway not a big issue for now
