prepare statement and await keyword?

I saw two different prepare statement styles in the document.

// with await .prepare()
const query = await db.select().from(users).prepare();
const iterator = await query.iterator();

for await (const row of iterator) {
  console.log(row);
}

// without await
const db = drizzle(...);
const prepared = db.select().from(customers).prepare();
const res1 = await prepared.execute();

which one is proper when it comes to prepare statement.
