Description
Plugin integrates with a number of external dependencies; issues with those dependencies ultimately can be resolved only by the maintainers of those dependencies. Some maintainers are either too busy with other things or just disappeared...
Playwright for Scala.js
- if my issue Publish for Scala 2.13 gmkumar2005/scala-js-env-playwright#17 concerning publishing Scala 2.13 artifacts of the Playwright JavaScript environment for Scala.js is ever addressed, plugin could add support for it - the only additional JavaScript environment that makes sense to support.
Judging by the absence of any reaction from the maintainers it won't happen though :(
Scalaprops
- if the issue Support for
sbt.testing.Framework
on Scala.js and Scala Native scalaprops/scalaprops#530 ever gets addressed, I shall add support for scalaprops on Scala.js and Scala Native.
Judging by the absence of any reaction from the maintainers it won't happen though :(
Mention Gradle
Scala.js, Scala Native, and almost all test frameworks now mention support for Gradle using my plugin; I no longer expect it to be mentioned by:
- ScalaTest: Mention Gradle plugin for Scala.js and Scala Native scalatest/scalatest-website#253;
- specs2: Mention Gradle plugin for Scala.js and Scala Native - or not ;) etorreborre/specs2#1353;
- scalaprops: https://github.com/scalaprops/scalaprops;
IntelliJ
-
if the issue https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/SCL-4398/ScalaCheck-support is ever addressed, user experience in IntelliJ will improve for all users of ScalaCheck - with or without my Gradle plugin.
Judging by the total lack of activity on the 13 years old issue it won't happen though :( -
if IntelliJ Scala Plugin ever starts supporting ZIO Test, user experience in IntelliJ will improve for all users of ZIO Test - with or without my Gradle plugin.
Judging by the existence of the separate (now semi-abandoned) ZIO companion plugin for IntelliJ IDEA, it won't happen though :( -
if my issue https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/SCL-24127/Scala-Test-Inconsistencies concerning inconsistencies in test frameworks support in IntelliJ IDEA is ever addressed, user experience in IntelliJ will improve for all users of the frameworks involved - with or without my Gradle plugin.
Judging by the number of the related issues and the time they are outstanding, it won't happen though :( -
if work in progress multi-context resolve support in IJ platform ever ships anything, it might allow me to clean out some ugly workarounds.
This is not completely hopeless - but I am not holding my breth either ;)
