ship R client with icu extention by default

I would be grateful if the R duckdb client could be shipped with the icu extension preinstalled! Is that planned for future releases?

Thanks. We are fighting with size limitations for both the sources and the binaries. Why is it difficult to install on first use?

I am working in an Enterprise Environment with limited Internet Access. But we do use a Professional Team Suit which offers access to R Package repositories. So its a bit a hassle to carry around the Extension all the time,

Thanks. I anticipated that such a situation might occur. Would it help you if extensions were bundled in non-CRAN packages that you could get from GitHub? Or does it have to be on CRAN to reach you?

I guess github could be an alternative. Although via CRAN would save the discussions with the IT-Department.
