Make more field "work" in the SF1000

I don't know how to reach you unless to create an issue-question ;).

I wanted to know if you had any idea on how to make more field on SF1000 work ? D+1 / D-1, relative and so on. I'd enjoy working on that.

Could we have chat about that when/if you have some time ? Do you have some ideas on how to do it ?

Most fields aren't implemented because either 1. the wheel's firmware doesn't support it or 2. there is no equivalent data in SimHub.

As for D+1/-1, which is 2nd case, you can make it work but have to rely on a 3rd party plugin like Gary Swallow Data Plugin - the caveat is they only provide the gap agaisnt 100 players in 100 properties.
So if you want "gap to front", you'll have to loop through 100 properties and sort them, which (can) add a huge amount of delay.

In case you want to try it out though, the property is GarySwallowDataPlugin.Leaderboard.Position01.IntervalGap

Hello, I’m trying to figure out how the SF1000 works to complete the functionality of the component in SIMHUB. Mainly D+/- 1 and Delta. These are not data sent directly to the SF1000 but must be calculated internally.

Studying the Codemasters documentation, I see there are 14 different messages (plus the event message with multiple different formats). I am setting up independent sends of these packets in Python, as well as a launcher to send logical sequences since they must be coherent in time and follow the frame succession.

For the frames, there are two counters: the global one and another one per message type. I am managing to display data from Python, but I believe the solution lies in preparing and sending complete and coherent data sequences so that the SF1000 can perform its calculations.

For example, event 11 internally carries a list of 100 laps for each driver, including the current incomplete lap. These data, along with the correct events, will allow the SF1000 to calculate the data that we all miss.
