How to stop redirect

When i press add to cart it reloads the page how do i stop this from happening

As far as I'm aware, that should work? Is the Accept header definitely being included in the request?

I am still experiencing the redirect sometimes, not all the time though, which is the weird part.

Could it be that

_request: 'Empty',
_error_redirect: 'Empty',
_redirect: 'Empty'

wont work that well?
