Error when installing on Statamic Starter Kit

When installing a new statamic site, I get the following errors:

⠒ Preparing starter kit [duncanmcclean/sc-starter-kit]...
The authenticity of host 'github.com (140.82.121.3)' can't be established.

⠠ Preparing starter kit [duncanmcclean/sc-starter-kit]...

Composer could not authenticate with GitHub!
Please generate a personal access token at: https://github.com/settings/tokens/new

Can you install other starter kits, like Peak, or do they give you the same issue?

FWIW: You might be better off using Cargo for new sites as it'll effectively replace Simple Commerce when it's fully released (which should hopefully be by the end of the year!).

Hi Duncan,

I just tried to install the Starter Kit "Gustamic" and this worked just fine.

I read about the Cargo but don't I need the Statamic v6 which has not been released yet?
And the "client" wants it to be there quickly

Maybe try the Simple Commerce kit again? It should be doing the same thing under the hood for both kits (downloading them via Composer) 🤷‍♂️
