Callback on Mollie payment is empty

Hi Duncan, whenever I use the dummy gateway, all is handled well (complete-message & e-mails).
When paying online with Mollie, the payment is successful but when redirected back to my site the ordernumber and order details are empty.
I don't receive any e-mails as well.

Hmm, that's odd.

Are there any webhook errors showing in the payment's logs?

Not in the Laravel log. Is the payment's log a log on the Mollie-platform? I don't have access to it, so I will have to ask.

First I had to hardcode the full url for the redirect after checkout cause it didn't read {{ site:url }}.
The redirect just went to /checkout/complete

Yeah, the webhook logs are visible on Mollie's website. From memory, you should be able to see them on the payment page.

Also to clarify, are you running into this issue locally or on production (or both). The reason I ask is because you need to setup a proxy locally so Mollie can talk to your development site. Otherwise, SC won't know when payments happen.

In the Mollie Dashboard, if you look at a payment, it'll show if the webhook request was successful or not:

Unlike other gateways, Simple Commerce will configure a webhook when creating the payment. You should be able to see the webhook in the payment's metadata:

I see order_number is not in the metadata. Maybe that is the issue.
When using my own test-api key, the mails did get sent but the metadata on the complete-page was empty as shown in my previous post.

Okay - that's progress. Did the order's payment status get updated too?

I'm not sure about the empty values on the completion page... it's been a while since I've touched that part of Simple Commerce. 🤔

The order payment status was always updated, it were just the e-mails that didn't get send but appearantely after I've tested with my test Mollie profile, it was fixed without changing anything.

Is it possible that the empty values on the completion page, are a result of the missing ordernumber in the metadata?
In your example you have: cart_id / cart_fingerprint / order_id / order_number

All I have is the order_id

Looking at the code - looks like order_id should be enough. Not sure where the other keys in my screenshot came from.

I'm not sure about the empty values. What do you see if you {{ dump }} in the completion page template? Do you see any cart information?

Is the the part where the callback from the webhook is catched?
Should this be order_id instead of id then?

No, that's okay.

The id being referred to there comes from the webhook request sent by Mollie. It indicates the payment ID. That code uses the payment ID to find the associated order.

As the order status is being updated correctly, the webhook isn't the issue.
