Shipping option - Pay on delivery

Hi,

In my country its popular to order and pay on delivery.
Is there a way to add this flow to Cargo?

Usually shops have delivery option for example: "Courier - pay on delivery" which is a bit more expensive.

When customer choose this option it should skip payment gateway and add order with "manual" status managment.
I think that there is a small issue which would require separate status flow, because it's not paid right away. First it needs to be "sent" and then after delivery manually changed to "paid".

Any idea how to hack this? :D

I'm planning on adding a built-in "Pay on delivery" option soon - I've had a few people ask for it. I don't have an ETA for it though!

Right now, you might be able to hack something together with a custom payment gateway. If the customer selects a specific shipping option, then your "Pay on delivery" gateway shows. It doesn't do any actual payment processing code.

I'm not sure about the statuses though, need to dig into it some more myself.

Just tagged v1.0.0-alpha.13 with support for "Pay on delivery" during checkout. 🎉

You can find out more on the docs, but essentially you just need to configure the payment gateway, ensure your shipping options accept payment on delivery and you're good!
