Starting Supersonic triggers short playback on the last paused track when 'Fade out on pause' is checked

Platform: Windows 11 (24H2 IoT LTSC)

I suspect this has to do with 'Fade out on pause' triggering when the application is started while a track is paused from the last session.
I can hear the track play for a split second, and it triggers a playback in my Jellyfin (and as a result scrobbles it on Last.fm).

When disabling this feature I don't hear the short playback on application startup; but I have not double-checked if it triggers playback as registering in Jellyfin or scrobbling it as a result (I use the Last.fm plugin in Jellyfin). but it still triggers a play registering in Jellyfin (and on last.fm as a result) by just starting the application.
