Is there any example how to add custom batch option for plugin?

I would like to add Export to xls/CSV as batch option to Admin UI for plugin.
I can't find any example of how to do it the right way.
I mean - how to add a new option to batch, not export to csv

I solved it for now by accepting filters at least, but it would be nice to have it as batch option and manually select records to be able to export.

Of course, I had to exclude json field, is there other way than just unset($row['user_prefs']); ?

By the way, this:
$perms = $this->getController()->getModel()->get('user_perms');
should be used only for write mode, otherwise it is always empty in listing mode.
