GCC>4.9.3 fails in configure of Stage 3 with wrong isl

Trying to install GNU-5.1.0-2.25 or GNU-5.2.0-2.25 fails in configure of Stage 3 of GCC with reference on wrong isl (see easybuilders/easybuild-easyconfigs#2001 (comment)).

GNU-4.9.3-2.25 succeeds.

@torbjoernk: the log in the gist is too big for GitHub, it doesn't support showing it...

Can you look into a shorter log with the relevant info, e.g. only the last N lines?

I have GCC/5.1.0-binutils-2.25 installed using https://github.com/hpcugent/easybuild-easyconfigs/blob/master/easybuild/easyconfigs/g/GCC/GCC-5.1.0-binutils-2.25.eb, works fine for me, so I really wonder what the problem is.

@boegel, @wpoely86 I've updated the Gist to only contain the config.log of the last (failing) configure. The full log (gzipped) can be downloaded here.

Probably an important info I've forgotten is my system: openSUSE 13.2 64bit. Building GCC 5.1.0 with its shipped configure procedure (also 3-stage bootstrap) works fine.

I've tried building GCC-5.2.0-binutils-2.25 with useisl = True myself on Debian 8 and found no problems.
From the config.log:

If I have to guess, I think it's openSUSE lib/lib64 policy. @torbjoernk Can you check but I strongly suspect that you will find libisl.so in /data/opt/eb/build/GCC/5.1.0/dummy--binutils-2.25/gcc-5.1.0/stage2_stuff/lib64 instead of /data/opt/eb/build/GCC/5.1.0/dummy--binutils-2.25/gcc-5.1.0/stage2_stuff/lib

Why is it always openSUSE that gives us trouble with lib/lib64...

I found a little quick fix: comment out the elif branch around lines 139-146 in the easyblock for GCC. This will make the GCC build the classic "bootstrap".
