Feature Request: customField search

lunr supports custom field searches. https://lunrjs.com/guides/searching.html#fields
eg idx.search('title:foo* bar')

It would be really nice to be able to specify a regex or similar to be able to identify custom fieldname: value in the docs that can be indexed and subsequently searched for.

Could you explain it more clearly? What's your document like, what will the search input be like and what is the search result you wish for that input?

so lets say I have a document that I arbitrarily decide to add text like

id:12345;

or perhaps

id-12345;

instead of having to remember to type "id:12345;" into the search to find it I'd like to be able to have a user selector for "id" as well as the general search box, and the search to be a combination of the fields.
so a user can search for "id" 12345. and some_other_text

the actual pattern could be defined in config as a set of regex, in this case the config block might have:

      fields: [
        { field: 'id', value: 'id:\\d+;' },
        { field: 'ticket', value: 'TICKET-[A-Z]+-\\d+' },
        { field: 'ref', value: 'ref\\s*=\\s*["\']\\w+["\']' },
      ],

and on the indexing side:

if (match) {
  const field = match[1]; // "id"
  const value = match[2]; // 12345
...

on the search ui side I think the selector could be a list of user entry fields (if defined) like below
id: [ ]
some_field2: [ ]
some_field3: [ ]
search: [ ]

or better it could be dynamically generated with a droplist of available fields in the classic todo list style.

This is a very personalized customization feature, and it requires lots of changes, including indexing and searching logic, as well as the UI. I would say it' not in our plan.
