Overriding/setting configuration programmatically

(Apologies if this has been asked before, but I could not find an answer in the docs, issues or discussions from a quick search.)

Is it possible to set parameters mentioned in ecal.ini programmatically?

Use case: If eCAL is integrated as the message passing backend in a custom application, I wouldn't want to expose ecal.ini to the end-user (which would be an implementation detail). Instead, I would want to load a default eCAL configuration in the background and allow users to override them from my application initialisation code or from an application-specific configuration file.

Typically, only a few settings would need to be overriden this way - multicast_group is one such example

That was merged to the v6 development and will be in v6! The v5 API does technically allow you to pass command line arguments to initialize to override config options.

As a clear usage example here's how I'm using it for a new testcase that requires specific settings. (eCAL::Init::Configuration() is new and loads the config from the config file)
