Referencing a newer EDC version

I have been playing around with the Minimum Viable Dataspace for a bit but noticed that the EDC version used is quite a bit behind the current release.

Setting a newer version in gradle/libs.versions.toml (in this case 0.6.2, but I have tried a bunch of others as well) results in the build failing with the output at the end of this message.

Are there any plans to update to a new version or could you provide any guidance on how to reference a newer version?

Good to know, thanks for the speedy reply!

As a follow up but maybe not directly related. My end goal here is getting something similar to the MVD up and running that I feel reasonably confident in deploying for (near)production-use. However, I have found this to be very challenging as I have been unable to locate any documentation describing production hardening etc. and the available examples being quite simplistic.

My approach so far has pretty much been reading the code and looking at the logging output but that is very time consuming. Are there any documentation on this issue that I might have missed or do you have any other suggestions on resources for users wishing to go from evaluation to production use?

in terms of security, you could look at some best practices, and maybe other assorted documentation 1 and 2 (more detailed) you could read. From there you should be able to make your way.

Be advised that EDC is not an application but a platform and as such cannot give specific recommendations that fit your use case. Also MVD is merely a demo/example use case. For production-ready deployments you'll have to think about stuff like clustered deployments with Kubernetes, database failover, API security with API gateways etc, all of which is beyond the scope of this project.
