When using JPQL constructor expressions with primitive long parameters in EclipseLink 4.x, it incorrectly returns BigDecimal instead of Long when querying Oracle databases. This causes java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: argument type mismatch

Oracle's JDBC driver returns BigDecimal for NUMBER columns (which store long values). EclipseLink's type conversion in constructor expressions fails to convert BigDecimal to primitive long or Long wrapper before invoking the constructor.

Minimal Reproducible Example:
Entity with long field:

@Entity
@Table(name = "products")
public class Product {
    @Id
    private Long id;
    
    @Column(name = "price")
    private long price;  // Stored as NUMBER in Oracle
    
    @Column(name = "name")
    private String name;
    
    // getters/setters
}

DTO with primitive long parameter:
