Assuming I have a date stored in a string, how do I convert it into an EDate?

The underlying representation of EDate is java.util.Date so parsing the string with SimpleDateFormat as shown below (also on the playground) would be one way to achieve this.

Actually, EOL provides a built-in asDate() method so the code above could be simplified to:
