Extending GLSPSvgExporter

My code is based on the java-emf-theia example. I would like to customise GLSPSvgExporter to customise the exported svg.

I have bound my code using;-

bind(GLSPSvgExporter).to(MyGLSPSvgExporter).inSingletonScope();

but this doesn't work. It is always GLSPSvgExporter that is run. Please can you tell me how I can subclass GLSPSvgExporter

Yes, you are right, the way you are binding the exporter will not overwrite the default GLSP exporter. In the original exportModule the binding is like this: bind(TYPES.SvgExporter).to(GLSPSvgExporter).inSingletonScope(); (cf. export module). I can see how that leads to confusion as we do not use the typical bindAsService function here which would bind the implementation to it's own service first before binding it to the exporter type. I'll raise this with the team but for now you should be able to bind your own implementation with rebind(TYPES.SvgExporter).to(MyGLSPSvgExporter).inSingletonScope();.
