New Compile Errors in Xtext Dev Workspace with newer jdt versions

in our xtext dev env we see new compile errors with 2025-12 M2

Name clash: The method getTraceToSource(PlatformResource) of type IPlatformSpecificTraceProvider<PlatformResource,Trace> has the same erasure as getTraceToSource(SomeFile) of type AbstractTraceForURIProvider<SomeFile,Trace> but does not override it

@cdietrich - What am I supposed to see when I clone the repo and import the project ? I get about 79 errors several of them being
The import com.google cannot be resolved - Could you let me know what I am doing wrong ??

If I open IPlatformSpecificTraceProvider I don't see any errors in the file.

you need to have guava in the target platform:
