Tool tips not working on eclipse ide under wayland.

I've just upgrade to eclipse Version: 2025-12 M1 (4.38.0 M1)

I'm running ubuntu 25.04 (amd Ryzen 7 3700X x 16) on gnome/wayland.

If I hover over an element near the top of the screen the tooltip box appears (above the element) but the content is grey.

If I scroll the element down the page the tool tip displays and the content is visible.

This has been a long standing problem (I've just upgraded from 2023-something - which had the same problem).

I understand that there is a work around by using X but it feels like we should have this fixed given X is disappearing and I suspect the majority of users are now running wayland.

To be clear, running eclipse under xwayland works around the problem on my system.

This is Browser widget not rendering. Would you please tell me the webkit versions you have installed? If you don't have it please make sure you have libwebkit2gtk-4.1 installed and restart eclipse.
