Platform specific SWT tests not run as part of I-builds

There are tests such as this one that are platform specific. These win32 tests are running as part of GHA, but not on Jenkins as part of I-build tests.

Prior to 2014 (Bug 427534 we had classes called All[WS]Tests (Eg. AllCocoaTests) in the main SWT Test plug-in, you can see results for such tests in the archive for Eclipse 3.8.

Then in 2017 (Bug 518379 the new org.eclipse.swt.tests.[ws] (e.g. org.eclipse.swt.tests.cocoa) bundles were created.

AFAICT at that time no work was done to add these new test bundles to the aggregator.

Next step, figure out if/how to add them.

If I want to make changes to sdk.tests/testScripts/test.xml and sdk tests feature how to best test that? Is there a way to test it locally?

This is my best guess, but if there is some guidance available that I haven't seen you can point me in the correct direction.

Changing the feature.xml seems to fall under the "How to build" from the README.

Then I would guess I manually copy the files listed in the runtests.bat from the output of above to a temp dir and run the runtests.bat file?

But to get the platform specific test bundles to build, I assume I also need to build platform specific bundles on each of those platforms to be aggregated into the final repo so they can be accessed on each test machine later?

Perhaps this isn't really worth it, and we should just run the SWT platform specific tests on GitHub actions? If so, perhaps we can/should link https://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/I20251001-0630/testResults.php to the cooresponding commits GHA results for each component (such as this one for swt https://github.com/eclipse-platform/eclipse.platform.swt/actions/runs/18167399381 or this one for platform ui https://github.com/eclipse-platform/eclipse.platform.ui/actions/runs/18058493442)

I think you can run it like this: https://wiki.eclipse.org/Platform-releng/Eclipse_Test_Framework but I have never used that to run it locally.

The migrated location for this document is https://github.com/eclipse-platform/eclipse.platform.releng.aggregator/wiki/Eclipse-Test-Framework - annoyingly the wiki seems not to be indexed by search engines (google search of eclipse inurl:https://github.com/eclipse-platform/eclipse.platform.releng.aggregator/wiki has no results!) Reading around it seems wikis are only indexed if > 500 stars.
