+Custom Folding Regions have been enhanced to allow using the same text for both the start and end region comment.
+If the start and end region markers are the same, the same comment can be used to end a folding region and start a new one.
+The last section automatically ends when the last block is closed or at the end of the file.

+This is useful if a class (or other Java file) contains multiple sections that are seperated with some comment.
+To use this functionality, check "Enable folding of custom regions" in `Window > Preferences > Java > Editor > Folding` and enter the same text in "Region start comment text" and "Region end comment text".

+### Terminal View and Connectors Support
+
+The Terminal view along with the associated Local, SSH and Telnet connectors from the CDT Project have been migrated to the Eclipse Platform to make them more generally available.
+These have  been part of the Eclipse IDE packages for many years and have proven to be a useful extension to the IDE!
+
+To use them in your own product, or install it in a custom Eclipse IDE setup, you can now use the feature `org.eclipse.terminal.feature`.
+

+### Perspective Switcher Menu Can Now Be Hidden Programmatically

+It is now possible to dynamically hide the context menu in the perspective switcher using the application model API. 
+This enables Eclipse RCP apps using 3.x API to enable and disable the menu at runtime.

+## SWT Changes
+
+### Clarified ImageDataProvider Contract
+
+The `ImageDataProvider` API documentation has been updated to clarify that implementations are expected to return **linearly scaled** `ImageData` based on the zoom level.
+For example, if `getImageData(100)` returns an image of width `w` and height `h`, then `getImageData(200)` must return an image of width `2 * w` and height `2 * h`, if non-null.
+This only makes an implicit assumption explicit, some consumers have always relied on this linear scaling behavior, and lack of it may have led to unexpected behavior in the past.
+
+Additionally, optional runtime checks verifying this linear scaling behavior are available as a debugging feature to assist developers in validating their implementations.  
+These checks can be enabled by starting the application with `-Dorg.eclipse.swt.internal.enableStrictChecks`, but note that this system property may be subject to change in future releases without prior notice.

+When launching a process in Eclipse you can currently choose to allocate a console for input/output.
+Via such a console, the relatively-recent support for ANSI color encoding enables integration of console applications that produce colorized output.

+In terms of input though,
+and for more advanced features such as text-based user interaction,
+this still does not work well 
+because advanced applications require a so-called [pseudo terminal](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudoterminal)
+together with a [terminal emulator](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminal_emulator)
+to behave as if it were executed via a native command prompt.
+
+While the [VT100 terminal emulator](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VT100) was already added  in the previous release,
+there remained the need to start the application in a proper terminal session.
+That support is now provided by the new `Terminal Console`.
+
+This is currently preliminary support and we would appreciate to get feedback.

+The terminal support can be installed as follows:

+- Download the latest integration build SDK [here](https://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/).

+  `Terminal Feature` and `Terminal Session Support`.

+We added rudimentary searching capabilities to `Browser` widgets based on WebKit and GTK+.
+The search is enabled by setting the `SWT.SEARCH` style flag of the `Browser` widget.
+The hotkey to open the search dialog is `Ctrl+F`,
+the dialog opens at the bottom left of the client area of the Browser widget. See screenshots below.
+
+The search dialog is closed with `Esc`.
+Its also closed when resizing or moving the `Browser` widget or its parent `Shell`.
+The dialog can be dragged and will remember its position until such a resize or move.
+
+The search can be disabled globally with the following VM property, e.g. in case of WebKit crashes:
+

+A new feature has been added to enhance file and selection comparisons in Eclipse editors. 
+You can now compare the current file content or a selected portion with the content of the system clipboard. 
+This is particularly useful for quickly checking differences between a copied snippet and what's in your working file.

+To use this, simply right-click within an editor and choose `Compare With → Clipboard`.

+On Windows 11, menu entries that can be toggled do not show their toggle state if they also contain an image.
+This affects both checked items as well as radio items.
+ 
+A workaround was implemented in SWT such that those states are visualized again.
+By default, a checkmark or radio bullet is drawn on top of the image if the item is selected.
+
+The behavior may also be configured via the system property `org.eclipse.swt.internal.win32.menu.customSelectionImage`, but note that this property may be subject to change or removal.

+To make breakpoint management easier, the `Breakpoints view` now organizes breakpoints into separate groups based on their enablement status. 
+This clearly distinguishes between breakpoints that are `enabled` and those that are `disabled`.
+
+To use this, go to more options of `Breakpoints view` then `Group By -> Enablement`
+

+When this option is selected, enabled breakpoints are listed together at the top under an `Enabled group`.
+Disabled breakpoints appear below under `Disabled group`. This organization helps you quickly locate breakpoints that are enabled or disabled.
