Evolving Java-based APIs Part 2 migrated to Markdown

This is currently the text, as is.
Text can be slightly improved, which will be done via follow-up commits.

It does currently not fix the links which are pointing still to the
wiki, once the other documents have been migrated these links will be
adjusted.
