Subject: [External] Kick-off S-CORE Tool Readiness & Tool Classification
External email. Inspect before opening any links or attachments.
Hi Alex, hi Markus,
as discussed on Monday, Validas has offered to support S-CORE in preparing the tool qualification for our target milestone of S-CORE 0.5. In the TL Circle we have agreed to thankfully accept this offer and to move it forward within S-CORE.
The first step will be to conduct a tool readiness check and tool classification to gain a clear understanding of the tools currently in use and identify potential gaps.
The outcome will allow us to:
o a qualification kit for tools not yet qualified,
o open-source safety manuals supporting certifiability,
o a business model enabling traceability within S-CORE while allowing reuse of the same tools in commercial distribution settings.
Next steps:
• Please take the lead on preparing the tool list (I know a ticket already exists for this) and coordinate with Validas to kick off the activity.
• You can also involve them in the respective communities directly to get started, if this is more effectively.
• Considering the holiday season, could you propose some dates when we could hold the initial kick-off with Validas?
@oscar Slotosch / @sebastian Heinemann for introduction:
• Alex is the Infrastructure Community Lead,
• Markus is the Software Process Community Lead.
Thanks a lot for taking this forward. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
