Layered entities future?

I am using layered entities and code generation in my project. However, I don't see a bookstore demo using them (I know it is older), not sure if they work with Gogamap... I wonder what the vision about them is, going forward @fh-ms @hg-ms ? Is MicrostreamOne using them in real projects, is anyone else using them for real?
