Make it possible to match a UriTemplate against a specific URI

Hm, it seems that the primary use case for URI templates is expansion and not variable matching. Still, a limited support would be useful.

perhaps it should generate a java regular expression along with a table for matching groups ?

e.g. "https://example.com/hotels/{hotel}/bookings/{booking}" would generate "https://example.com/hotels/([ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789-_.~]+)/bookings/([ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789-_.~]+)"

group 1 <-> hotel
group 2 <-> booking

Yes, something along these lines. But this would work for Level 1/2 templates, right?

Did somebody start working on this? I think I could take a look because I think there are uses for this inside of vertx itself.
