wwd introduces latency for "eclipse incremental builds"

There is a issue with wwd in eclipse with incremental build. Currently, when changing files (for example, junit test files or any other java file), I have to wait approx. 10-30 seconds (!) after eclipse regocnize that it must do an incremental build. After deinstalling wwd, this latency goes away. I use latest eclipse version and latest wwd snapshot version.

Thanks for the report. I cannot reproduce this issue.
Can you please give details about your OS? Can you please describe detailed steps to reproduce the issue (including installation steps)?

I use macOS, Eclipse Version: 2020-12 (4.18.0).

steps to reproduce the issue:

• save a java file and wait until the incremental build happen or make any syntax error within a java file so that a red bullet is shown, correct this syntax and wait. It needs some time that the red bullet goes away because the incremental build is not initialized in a fast way.
• or take a junit test file and make a test, run it so that the test fails. Adjust the test, so that it must be run without failings (green). However, you must re-run the test a few times until the incremental build is triggered and the test is run with the latest changes.

I cannot describe it more detailed. Maybe the language server will poll (?) too often so that it disturbs the eclipse incremental build (which then will be postponed). I don't know.

Oh I did see that there is a new version 0.11.5 from yesterday. I will update and report if this issue still exist..

I re-installed wwd to use the latest snapshot (and restarted with eclipse -clean) and now it seems that this issue does not happen so far. So I will close this issue for now.

Unfortunately, after a few hours the issue happens again. And then nearly always.

I guess, there is a memory issue. When using the IDE for a few hours then this issue always happens. If I restart the IDE, then on fresh memory this issue does not happen, but after a few hours, somehow the incremental build is very much delayed. I also don't know if this is because of wwd, because when deinstalling the plugin the last time, I needed to restart my IDE (but a restart will help at the first moment). It's a issue which is not easy traceable for the end user. Something like #606, which is not easy traceable for the end user.

Do you have metrics you see constantly growing while using Wild Web Developer (eg RAM, CPU, number of processes, number of threads)? It could be a leak somewhere but we need as much info as possible to sort out where this could be.

It should be interesting to know which language server is started. @nimo23 when you see the problem have you opened a ts, json,js, xml etc files managed by WWD?

In this project, I only have one xml (pom.xml) and multiple java files. But the project contains a lot of web files (js,ts, jsx, css,html) but nothing of these are opened in the editor. I already gave my eclipse.ini much ram:

The issue https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=570947 could be the cause, because I have opened a dozen editors (with only java files) and closing it after a time, but it stand be slow as if I had the dozen editors opened and the issue happens. So I restart the IDE after a few hours only to begin with a fresh ram. I also run the garbage collector (Preference->General->Show HeapStatus) within eclipse IDE a few times, but this does not solve this issue.

Can you please try latest release or snapshots of Wild Web Developer, LSP4E, TM4E... and report whether issue is still occuring?
