Logitech G29 no FFB

Hello. I've installed the plugin in ETS2 and switched my G29 to PS4. When I start the game, the G29 rotates once to the left and once to the right. The resistance and LED indicator work in-game. However, force feedback (FFB) doesn't work. The file "libfffb.dylib" is located in the plugin folder as specified. Is there anything else I need to do? What is fffb_source_v0_1_2 for?

there seems to be an issue with force feedback not working on the G29,
I haven't had the time to look into it yet, but I'll try to find some time soon.

fffb_source_v0_1_2 contains the source code, you won't need that to get the plugin working.

Can you please share the log file here? It's located at /tmp/fffb.log

Thanks for the quick reply and for your work on the plugin. I'm sure there won't be a way to use it with Crossover? The fact that the resistance is significantly better with the plugin than without is invaluable.

Yeah, no plans for Crossover at the moment. Because of my time constraints I decided to go with the solution that would be fastest to implement just to get a taste of FFB on the mac, hoping to find some time for a proper solution once I graduate 🤞

As for the resistance, that's how the whole thing actually started! GHUB broke for me, and all I needed from it was to lower the autocentering resistance, so I started working on the plugin haha
Amazing to know others find it useful as well, thanks a lot for that!
I'll try to get the FFB working for you as soon as I can, I have some plans for additional features as well so I'm quite excited to get back to working on this!

I'm hoping SCS will do something with the new graphics unit. Right now, I can't enjoy the game with OpenGL or the VK hack. Unfortunately, I'm missing the mods. With mods and the VK hack, I get game crashes.

First of all, I wanted to thank you so much for your work on this plugin. You really helped me out!

I bought the Logitech G923 thinking it was compatible with Mac, but I was devastated when G HUB didn't recognize it and the wheel was "stiff as a rock" when I opened ETS2. I play directly on macOS via Steam. I was actually considering returning the wheel until I found your plugin... and now it works! The FFB isn't working for me —I think that's a known issue for many—but at least the game is playable.

I wanted to ask you about the upcoming ETS2 and ATS updates. The 1.58 public betas are already out. When the game officially updates to 1.58, will the plugin stop working? (I have currently locked my game to the temporary_1.57 to keep your plugin active).

Also, if you ever find a solution to get the FFB working on Mac, that would be absolutely amazing!

The plugin is not version-dependent for ETS and ATS. It should work with any version.
