Project Dead?

Is this project dead? I tried running through the instructions and building a basic one using the example from the blog post, but i was getting lots of errors and it never actually generated any json :(
any alternatives or new versions of this?

There seems to be an issue with the fs.writeFile function not actually writing a file (at least on macOS).

I generated my own custom registry: https://github.com/open-audio-stack/open-audio-stack-registry
but looking for a tool like this use instead.
I found this other tool: https://flatlake.app/docs/collections/ but not an exact match.
Also NextJS can generate static json: https://nextjs.org/docs/app/guides/static-exports
