+in such a way that we can invalidate whether or not it actually does the thing claimed

+follow research/thing-golf.md thinking to help keep these spec/doc/example/test things clean and focused

+let's optimize for smugness
+we COULD brag and dunk on losers because of how epicly our shit don't stink
+but instead we shall merely bask in our own significance
+confident and reassured that we have conclusively proven our dunning-kreugerishness
