I have purchased the radio with the goal of using it at the airfield. I am a commercial pilot, so I wouldn't be doing any illegal activity when using it. My question before I flash this radio is, can we also use it to transmit? I did a search and I couldn't find it, so apologies if it is already documented. On all the videos, you could unlock all by default on the original firmware, but for some reason, mine is not able to do it using the firmware v1.0.0 from factory. Thanks for the help. |

I'm going to close this, as I have been able to use the firmware and followed the specific instructions https://github.com/egzumer/uv-k5-firmware-custom/wiki/Radio-operation#how-to-unlock-tx-on-all-bands However, a strange scenario happened, and even I had successfully unlocked all, I was not able to emmit, so I had to reset ALL and then, I was able to transmit. Great job, thanks. |
