Distribution-specific logic? what supported distros?

I hadn't noticed the ::dependencies class when I first tried this. Perhaps you could document what distros this actually works on?

I tried running this on Arch, and was surprised to find a screen full of "target not found" errors when it tried to install all of these packages.
