Run Metribeat/Filebeat on Kubernetes #1835
Description
The use case would be somebody who wants to try out Elastic Observability on their kubernetes cluster. At the moment you would likely need both Filbeat and Metricbeat and we have instructions here https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/metricbeat/7.x/running-on-kubernetes.html.
The problems I see with the current documentation are:
- The Helm Chart is not listed
- The link on the box at the top at the page lands to the ECK docs that show how to install beats. Since you don't striclty need the whole stack to be setup with ECK to make that work, instead of the box we might just list that as an additional install method using the operator
A nice example of how to install something on kubernetes can be found in the Ambassador docs.
The same considerations apply to the Elastic Agent install page, that at the moment doesn't shown any kubernetes install options but will in the near future.
