We are making the Prometheus Input package GA. One of the tasks in the checklist is to get the package docs reviewed by the Documentation team.

Additionally, there's a PR(still in review) to update the docs for a recent change that added the SSL config options to the package. Please consider this PR as well, as eventually, it will be a part of the docs in the package, and feel free to suggest changes.
