Description
Type of issue
Inaccurate
What documentation page is affected
https://www.elastic.co/docs/deploy-manage/deploy/cloud-enterprise/configure-host-rhel
What happened?
Starting from ECE 3.7 we only support podman as container engine with RHEL 8+9 and it's clones.
Unfortunately the ECE installer (and upgrader) doesn't autodetect this and one has to manually add the --podman
param to the script, otherwise it errors out with no clear indicator as to why.
Can we make sure we link to https://www.elastic.co/docs/deploy-manage/deploy/cloud-enterprise/fresh-installation-of-ece-using-podman-hosts at the end of the RHEL Host config page and also add a note/tip that one has to pass the --podman
param when using the installer/upgrader on a OS with podman?
