@theletterf we worked on a similar but separate issue elastic/opentelemetry#353 . It resulted in elastic/opentelemetry#361 which shows version-specific collector config yaml (note that it is config yaml, not kube stack values yaml), because using a 9.1 collector config on a 9.0 collector would result in errors.

In contrast, this page is kube-stack yaml, where the yaml itself pins the EA version. I think @rogercoll is better equipped to advise on that.

Kubernetes configurations for MOtel (serverless) urls are under the managed_otlp path.

👍 , serverless link should always point to the latest released elastic-agent tag. The version of the Helm Chart is not correct, the latest supported version is 0.6.3.

Good catch (and the supported Helm Chart version will be 0.6.3). Is there a way to automate this to prevent having to add a manual entry for each version? The values file follows this pattern: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/elastic/elastic-agent/refs/tags/v<STACK_VERSION>/deploy/helm/edot-collector/kube-stack/values.yaml and similarly the corresponding supported Helm Chart version can be extracted from: https://github.com/elastic/elastic-agent/blob/v9.1.2/testing/integration/k8s/k8s.go#L10

Sounds like a simpler solution to me! And yes, the pattern for the configurations since 8.17 is (to replace STACK_VERSION):

Self-hosted:

MOtel (serverless):

The Helm Chart version might be a bit more tricky to get as it might change between stack versions.
