[Feedback]: Need to list the valid setting for "type"

https://www.elastic.co/docs/api/doc/kibana/operation/operation-post-saved-objects-export tells you that you can select a type, but it doesn't tell you what the valid strings are. I'm currently going through the source code, as I can't find a list anywhere, but even that is proving hard work!

Hi @garethhumphriesgkc Thanks for reporting this. We'll ask the team to include the information in the API spec that's used to generate this doc.

In the meantime, I could find the following list in the UI, and it looks to me that these values are not "prettified", meaning that they should match the values expected in the API (hopefully!). I'll try to get quick confirmation from the team, and have the docs updates.

Still, this looks much shorter than what I previously shared, so I'll double check.

Hi Florent, fair point, and using the UI would normally be my preference too - however in this case Kibana was unavailable as we were having an incident where the cluster would only stay up for a few seconds at a time before running out of RAM. We decided our best bet was to build a brand new cluster, and if possible migrate the saved objects to it to speed recovery - I wanted to have a curl command all prepped and ready to go to pounce on the moment of green, but couldn't find the parameters to use.

In fact, as a general rule, I'd suggest no part of the API should rely on Kibana.

Agreed, I was trying to provide a workaround for your immediate need with the list I could extract.
Please keep reporting inconsistencies or gaps you find, this helps us a lot to improve such generated content.
