Clarify “Tech Preview” labeling for Managed OTLP endpoint in EDOT quickstarts & UI #300

❗ Problem
Users are confused about what’s considered GA vs. Tech Preview:

The quickstart pages and Cloud Serverless UI display a bold "Warning: tech preview" for “send data” flows, which is alarming for GA users.

📋 Current behavior in quickstarts/UI
Quickstart docs (e.g., Kubernetes, host monitoring) include “Warning: technical preview” banners regardless of context

Cloud Serverless UI still flags the flow as “Tech Preview” when configuring ingest paths with mOTLP—even when users expect GA readiness.

🤔 Why this matters
Messaging like “technical preview” may scare users away from using or endorsing the flow.

Serverless/email onboarding quickstarts cannot really reference this because of tech preview, which is confusing given that EDOT is GA.

Customers may misapply guidance (e.g., avoid using mOTLP or deploy full EDOT gateways) due to unclear labels and docs.

✅ Proposed solution
Differentiate EDOT from mOTLP: Update quickstart docs to explicitly note:

“EDOT is GA.”

“Managed OTLP endpoint is still in Technical Preview.”
So users know that only mOTLP is preview—not the whole workflow.

Soften the warning tone: Use softer CTA (e.g., “Note: mOTLP is in preview and may change”) instead of bold warnings.

Update Cloud UI: Refresh messaging in Cloud Serverless UI to accurately reflect:

GA status of EDOT components.

Preview status of mOTLP only - perhaps also give a link in the quick start to MOTEL vs non-MOTEL config? like this from the APM config:
