Theme is reset to Light whenever Element is launched

Steps to reproduce

I use a custom theme for Element desktop (Windows) that I adjusted from the more publically-available Catpuccin Frappe. Ever since the recent update to 1.12.7, whenever I launch element desktop the app display the colours of the Light theme, though UI indicates it thinks it is still using my custom theme.

Steps:

1. Set element desktop to a custom theme (not the included ones).
2. Fully close element desktop (including in the tray) and then open it again
3. When it opens again, it will be set to the Light theme, but buttons will suggest it thinks it is still using the custom theme.
4. The issue can be worked around by simply switching to any other theme and back, but this still seems like a regression.

Hi there, I've been facing the same issue for a month as well.
I'm mostly using Arch Linux (I installed element-desktop using Pacman on both my Arch Linux installations).
I've also installed Element Desktop on Ubuntu 22.04 (installed element-desktop using this link) and Windows 11 (downloaded the x86 version there). Every version I listed is currently up-to-date.

I'm also using a custom theme, which is supposed to be dark.
On startup, Element is using the default light theme, although my theme is correctly selected. This happens on every OS I have Element Desktop installed on.

Some people using my selfhosted instance also reported they have the same issue (using Ubuntu, Arch Linux).

I'll try and come back here if someone needs more context or information to help resolve this issue.
