Steps to reproduce

Step 1: Have element-hq/element-web#32198 happen for the Nth time
Step 2: Try to upload logs
Step 3: Upload fails
Step 4: Try to download logs
Done

For uploading or Downloading logs to work

What happened instead?

Doesnt work due to that i am not logged in.

so this is a catch-22: if the app somehow destroys its local storage, then that includes the log store, so it can't report the logs.

A very quick and dirty workaround would be to be insert this towards the top of src/electron-main.ts in electron-desktop, which would then log the JS consoles to stdout in ED. (Perhaps we can add this as an runtime option so folks don't need to build their own app) - which then might give a clue as to how things are exploding in element-hq/element-web#32198.

Unable to reproduce this. I modified the code to draw the Unable to Restore session dialog always so I can try Download logs without even logging in.

On the topic of reproduction is it possible that this specific variant of the bug if its reproducible only happens if you have triggered element-hq/element-web#32198. As in this bug requires the specific conditions that happen in element-hq/element-web#32198 while logged out.

Also while i forgot to take a screenshot of the error when i got the bug the error text is user is not logged in ... just like the title of this issue.

As in the exact text you get if you press download logs is Failed to download debug logs: User is not logged in ...

If that is the case then this would be a part of element-hq/element-web#32198 rather than its own issue, if you are unable to reproduce this issue separately, as I wasn't
