How do I send colored text using a bot?

I tried using the following code to send a colored message:

However, from the results, it seems that it accepted the HTML format, but didn't render it.

<font> is not a standard HTML tag. Also, I don't think that element supports HTML injection (which... is pretty much a good thing). The HTML tags are probably just escaped
