Element's design is looking kind of weird and disheveled to me, and I think I found out why: I think the problem is that it uses the personal profile pic (pfp) color in the background and generally over a wider area which is great, but then element also sticks with that green for other highlights. My pfp is predominantly a color that clashes with the seemingly hardcoded green. It would be great if that could be fixed, suggestions below in the "how" part.
Why would you like to do it?
I would like more of my friends to use matrix, so if the client looks less weird to them, that might be helpful
How would you like to achieve it?
Ideally I think element should derive all highlight colors from the pfp, not just some of the tinting. Alternatively, let me pick a color myself and/or ignore the pfp entirely.
Have you considered any alternatives?
I mean, any sort of greater control over the color scheme would be nice. And I mean in some simple way, like I pick a main color and the UI adjusts to shades of it - that's also nice, but I don't want to do that and I assume most other users also don't.
