Fine-grained read receipts settings

What would you like to do?

Only send a read receipt sometimes, maybe even per message.

Why would you like to do it?

Especially in big rooms, read receipt feel like a violation of my privacy. But I don't want to turn them of completely for all rooms. And even per room I sometimes want to turn them off, while sometimes I want to explicitly let someone know I read their message.

How would you like to achieve it?

A per room setting for read receipt:

• use app-wide setting (the default)
• manual, ask if requested
• enable, automatic
• never (see below)

When set to manual, add an action to each message to mark it as read.

As a sender, I want to able to request a read receipt, similar to email. When such a request is received, it is automatically answered if read receipts are enabled for that room. If receipts are set to manual, the interface will ask explicitly. If receipts are set to never, such requests are not presented explicitly.
