Jump to previous sent) user sent message to address lack of users using "reply in thread"

Steps to reproduce

1. leave a message in a busy server.
2. exit the app
3. come back in 12 hours
4. try to find your replies

Outcome

###What did you expect?

1. I expected to see a reply to my question.

2. I expected to be able to be able to JUMP TO MY LAST SENT MESSAGE.

What happened instead?

I saw hundreds of messages; too many to search through.

I had to search for my own username (fetchfast) to find my last sent message.

How to fix this?
This is partly a user problem, because people aren't using the "reply in thread" function.
How can encourage people to use that option?

Something else to improve this:
Add a button to jump to the users last sent message to catch up. The jump button doesn't seem to do this,, instead going to an earlier time frame.
