Describe the bug
There is a bug that leads to
Error: [{"message":"Database inconsistency on table compat_sessions column device_id row 01HQ3FB21QVAPX9E710P93212F","locations":[{"line":7,"column":7}],"path":["viewer","appSessions"]}]
while listing user account sessions on MAS

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Delete sessions from Element Web and MAS simultaneously. Those sessions were created by failed QR code device pairing described here:
   Link device QR code fails with 412 M_CONCURRENT_WRITE synapse#18155

Expected behavior
No crash

This is likely to be #2724

Could you look at what the device_id is for this session? The query would be

SELECT device_id
FROM compat_sessions
WHERE compat_session_id = '018DC6F5-8837-DAAD-D4B8-E1059231044F';

The compat_session_id is the one logged, converted from ULID to UUID using tools like this one: https://www.ulidtools.com

It's Signal Bridge, what does it mean considering the error message?
Can I do something to prevent such errors in the future when I reintroduce MAS on my Matrix instance?

So the problem are device IDs that have a space in them. I opened a PR to support those: #4067

It will also require this on the Synapse side: element-hq/synapse#18174
