Manufacturing issues with J2_A and J8_B

Describe the problem you got

J2_A should be a CNC part with small changes:

• removing cutaways on dia 4.5 mm holes
• changing radius R2 to R4 on connection between circular and rectangular section
• Moving the locating cutaway 3mm up and changing the inner R1 to R4 + adapting the external blend

This allows the M4 threads to be manufactured straight on CNC

J8_B has non-manufacturable feature on the external feature of J8_A nest - a fillet which axis comes perpendicularly to the main round section of the part. Suggested changes:

• Remove external blend on the nest (blend axis is located in Y direction
• add R4 fillet between round section and external nest surface

JS_A: We chose sheet metal not CNC because of cost. So we can't accept the suggestion to the official OpenArm design. But we can understand you want to use only CNC for all components. If you already created a STEP file for CNC, how about pushing it to your GitHub repository and shareing it at https://github.com/enactic/openarm/discussions/categories/show-and-tell to our community. It'll be helpful for users who want to use only CNC for all components like you.

J8_B: We agree with you. MISUMI meviy corrects these problems automatically but our STEP file should fix them. We don't have any concreate plan for now but we'll fix them in a feature minor update.
